This proverb is famous in the game of Kabaddi.  Shrikant Jadhav, a player whose character is to improve constantly and give his best for the team. Shrikant  Jadhav was born on 17 September 1995 in Mumbai.

Shrikanth Jadhav was bought by Jaipur pink panthers in Season 2(2015). But he not even managed to play even a single match for the team in that season.

In the next season, he was bought by Bengal warriors. This season did not prove to be lucky for him as he scored 10 points by playing in 5 matches only. Season 4 also remained the same as he was unable to do his best in that season also. But his prolonged practice and hard work made his fortune shine. Season 5,( 2017 ) proved to be a boon for him. He played tremendously for U Mumba in the whole season and scored 98 points by playing just 19 matches and remained the 3rd most successful raider of U Mumba in that season. A consistent outlet of points, raider Shrikant Jadhav improved tremendously with experience and has started to rise since his breakout campaign in season 5.

After that, he showed that he is a strong and serious player in-game of kabaddi and can score more points next season. In season 6 (2018), he gained 146 points by playing 25 matches with 5 super 10’s. He scored seventeen points in a single match against Patna pirates.  In season 7(2019) he was bought by U.P. Yoddha with a bid of 68 lakhs.  . He again improved his performance and led U.P. yoddha in raiding by scoring 152 points in 22 matches in that season with an average of 7 points per match.

A raider’s performance is most importantly measured by his performance in Do or Die raid. He is the most reliable raider in Do-or-die situations, leading the must-score situations with 43 raid points in Season 6.

His ability to improve mistakes immediately makes him different from others. Remaining calm and patient on the mat allows him to take the match in the favour of his team.

His 6 feet height and muscular frame allow him to power through tackle attempts and his swift movement across the mat cause havoc in the opposition half.

He will play for U.P. Yoddha this season which bought him for a huge price of 72 lakh rupees. He is set to join Pardeep narwal to make U.P. Yoddhas champions this season.

He can change the result of the match in few minutes because of his ability to befool the defender.  Fans remember his rhythm of the raid as – ‘Running fast in the opposite court and then suddenly touching the toe of the defender effortlessly and hurrying back to the own court’.

Apart from loving and paying kabaddi his other hobbies are travelling, singing, and dancing.
