Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation arranges Bangabandhu Cup on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu ( Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ). in March 3rd edition of the Bangabandhu kabaddi cup will be played in Bangladesh. this edition is bigger than the previous one as 12 teams will play for the trophy. matches will start on 11 March 2023 and the final will be played on 21 march 2023.
12 teams from around the world are going to participate in the Bangabandhu kabaddi Cup 2023. 8 Asian Countries, 2 Europian Countries, 1 African Country, and 1 South American Country are part of the Cup.

Bangabandhu Kabaddi cup 2nd Edition – 2022
2nd edition of the Bangabandhu cup was played in 2022. in this edition, 8 teams participated in the cup. Nepal, Bangladesh, Kenya, Sri Lanka, England, Iraq, Malaysia, and Indonesia are participants. the final match was played between Kenya and Bangladesh. in the 2nd edition of the Cup Bangladesh became the champion by defeating Kenya.

because Asian games semi-finalist teams are not included in the Bangabandhu kabaddi cup. as already those teams are good in the kabaddi sport. to increase the growth of kabaddi sport around the world they are including new teams. this initiative is to get trophies to some other teams as well.
