Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh, who was born on September 17, 1991, is Iran’s most talented all-around kabaddi player. He has represented Bengal Warriors in the 2020 VIVO Pro Kabaddi League and has played for the national squad of Iran in international games. Mohammad was a key member of Iran’s kabaddi team’s gold-medal winning performance at the 2018 Asian Games.

He, like every other Iranian youngster, was obsessed with wrestling. He began practising for the sport at a young age and was coached by Ebad Darili. Because of his amazing strength and incredible mobility, his trainer suggested he try kabaddi.
He began practising for kabaddi on the advice of his trainer, and it didn’t take him long to learn the sport. Within a few years, he cleared the route for Iran’s national squad in 2016. He rose to prominence after assisting the squad to a silver medal in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.
Pro Kabaddi League Career:
Mohammad was acquired by the Bengal Warriors PKL club for Rs. 77.75 lakh in Season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League. As a result of the bid, he became the season’s most expensive foreign player.
He was given the opportunity to participate in 23 games this season. His contribution to the squad proved fruitful, as he scored 122 points and helped the team win their first PKL title.
He was signed by the Bengal Warriors ahead of the Pro Kabaddi 2021 auction. Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh extended his superb league record with a match-winning effort against UP Yoddha Friday night.
The reigning champions begin their PKL 2021 season with a 38-33 victory over the Nitesh Kumar-led UP Yoddha. Nabibakhsh was the Bengal Warriors’ top player, scoring 11 points. He earned seven touchpoints, three tackle points, and a bonus point.
