During his school days, his brother enrolled him in a coaching academy. Ajith then played for the district team and later advanced to play for the state team.

Ajith’s strong performance in the Senior National Championship in 2016 marked his entry into the professional Kabaddi league. In the 2019 auction, he was purchased by the Tamil Thalaivas team and later played for U Mumba in the 2021 season.

He primarily functions as a support raider for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. In the final of the 9th season, he scored some crucial raid points, which ultimately helped the team clinch the title of the PKL.
