PRO KABADDI TEAMS WHICH ARE UNABLE TO REACH PKL FINAL’s

Pro Kabaddi League was launched by Mashal Sports in partnership with Star India in 2014 with 8 teams. (Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Telugu Titans & Umumba) in India. Whose craze started increasing in India as well as in the whole world, because of this increasing craze, in the year 2017, 4 new teams ( Gujarat Giants, Harayana Steelers, Tamil Thalaivas & U.P Yoddha) were included in Pro Kabaddi League.

After the addition of 4 new teams, the teams of Pro Kabaddi were divided into two groups and this league progressed in the round-robin format. Till now 7 seasons of Pro Kabaddi League has been completed in which we got to see 5 champion teams, 2 teams qualified in the final but they could not achieve the title of champion. Apart from this, 5 such teams have not even made their place in the final of Pro Kabaddi, let’s see those teams once –

Teams Which Not Qualified in PKL Finals –

  1. PUNERI PALTAN –

Puneri Paltan has played 7 seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League, but not even one season has been able to qualify in the final. There was no special performance in the starting 2 seasons of PKL, from season 1 & season 2 Puneri Paltan played 14 matches in both seasons, But Puneri Paltan could not win more than 2 matches in both seasons. In the third Season, Puneri Paltan qualified for playoffs by winning 7 matches,3 ties out of 14 matches but was not able to qualify in the final. In the year 2016, Puneri Paltan boosted their performance and made their 5th position on the points table winning 6 matches out of 14 and 2 tie matches.

Teams were divided into two groups with the arrival of 4 new teams in the 5th season of the Pro Kabaddi League. In the year 2017, Puneri Paltan played 22 matches in Group A. Out of which Puneri Paltan won 15 matches, and they again second time qualified for playoffs but unfortunately, they could not make it to the final. Their journey in the playoffs ended and they could not qualify for the final and even they could not qualify for the finals for the next two seasons.

  1. TELUGU TITANS –

Telugu Titans also played 7 seasons of Pro Kabaddi but Telugu Titans have not even qualified in the final even once. In Season 1 Total of 14 matches played Telugu titans in 2014 out of which 6 matches won with 3 ties.  In  PKL Season 2 Telugu Titans Played 14 matches in which they won 8 matches and 3 ties. Telugu Titans could not qualify for the finals in Season 2 despite excelling in the playoffs. In PKL Season 3 Telugu Titans Played 14 matches out of which they won 7 matches. In 2016 PKL Season 4 Telugu Titans again qualified in the Playoffs but with hard luck, they not again qualified for the final.

In Pro Kabaddi Season 5, 12 teams were divided into 2 groups, in which Telugu Titans were placed in Group B. In 2017 when Telugu Titans placed in Group B it is bad luck for them, Telugu could not even make it to the playoffs in the last 3 seasons after going to Group B.

  1. HARYANA STEELERS –

Among the 8 old teams, Haryana Steelers won the hearts of Kabaddi fans by qualifying in the Playoffs by winning 13 matches out of 22 with 2 ties in Season 5 but unfortunately, they didn’t qualify for the final.

In Season 6, the performance of Haryana Steelers went down and they moved to the last position in the points table of Group A. They played a total of 22 matches but they only won 6 matches. But without giving up, once again, Haryana Steelers qualified for the playoffs under the coaching of Rakesh Kumar, winning 13 matches out of 22 they perform well but are not qualified for the final. Haryana Steelers said we try to win the title in PKL Season 8.

  1. TAMIL THALAIVAS-

Tamil Thalaivas So far in PKL the team is at the end position in the points table in all Seasons. Tamil Thalaivas’s performance from season 5 to season 7 was only down, Tamil Thalaivas are the only Pro Kabaddi team that has not qualified for Playoffs so far. Tamil Thalaivas total 66 matches played in 3 seasons out of which only 15 matches have been won. Tamil Thalivas season 7 was the worst season despite being the most experienced player in Pro Kabaddi season 7. In Season 7 Tamil Thalaivas played 22 matches in which they only won 4 matches with3 ties.

  1. UP YODDHA

UP Yoddha is one of the strongest teams in the Pro Kabaddi League. Up Yodha has played 3 seasons in Pro Kabaddi League so far.

In Season 5 when UP Yoddha debut in Pro Kabaddi they played 22 matches and won 8 matches with two ties and qualified for the Playoffs but they eliminate in Playoffs.

In Season 6 UP Yoddha again qualified for the Playoffs by winning 8 matches with 4 ties out of 22 matches but again they not qualified for the final.

In last season UP Yoddha performed very well, Season 7 was the best season ever UP Yoddha played a total of 22 matches and won 13 matches with two ties but unfortunately in all-season UP Yoddha missed in reaching of final.
