Indian kabaddi team announced for Asian Games 2023
The AKFI has announced the Indian kabaddi men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming Asian Games. The team consist of many youngsters who will play their first Asian Games. Most of the players in the men’s team are from the Asian Kabaddi championship team. Both men’s and women’s teams are looking balanced. some of the star players Pardeep Narwal, and Rahul Chaudhary are not part of this team.

For the first time, Iran won the gold medal in the previous edition of the Asian Games. this Indian team is selected after 2 to 3 training camps so all players are in good form. team selection is done on the basis of current performance and fitness. coaching staff and AKFI worked on the team for several months. Arjun Deshwal, Sunil Kumar, Aslam Inamdar, and Akash Shinde are part of PKL 9 finalist teams.
The team consists of six Raiders, five of whom played in the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023. Akash Shinde replaced Mohit Goyat from that team. 6 defenders are present in the team which is making a balanced team. many combinations are present in the team so if some plan did not work they can substitute players.
The women’s team is made up of both experienced and new players. Sonali Shingate, Ritu Negi, and Pushpa Rana were played in the 2018 Asian Games. other players don’t have experience playing in the International Games.
