The Jaipur Pink Panthers, winners of the inaugural Pro Kabaddi League season, will kick off their Season 8 campaign against the Gujarat Giants. Season 8 is slated to take place entirely in the city of Bengaluru, however without the presence of any fans due to the COVID-19 procedures in the country.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers had a poor Season 7 season, finishing one spot short of the playoffs. After a scorching start to PKL Season 7, they ended eighth in the overall rankings.

The Pink Panthers have retained the majority of their core group from Season 7 in the Pro Kabaddi League Auction 2021. Deepak Niwas Hooda, Sandeep Dhull, and Amit Hooda, among others, will return to the Abhishek Bachchan-owned Pink Panthers.
The Pink Panthers’ administration has also kept its youthful skilled foursome of Pavan TR, Sushil Gulia, Sachin Narwal, and Elavarasan A. “They now have a natural leader in the team with the inclusion of the evergreen Dharmaraj Cheralathan to their ranks.” The additions of Arjun Deshwal and Naveen Bazzad at the auction would strengthen their raiding squad even further.
The Pink Panthers are expected to turn their fortunes around and challenge for a playoff position with the acquisition of new head coach Sanjeev Baliyan ahead of the PKL Auction 2021.
