Tamil Thalaivas is a Kabaddi team located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The team is co-owned by billionaire Nimmagadda Prasad, actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, Sachin Tendulkar and film producer Allu Aravind. Vijay Sethupathi, the actor, is the team’s brand ambassador. In their first season, they made Ajay Thakur their top choice and captain. After his first season as captain of the Tamil Thalaivas, he was named captain of the Indian squad.
He validated his priority selection by becoming the third-best raider in PKL 5 and one of only three raiders with more than 200 raid points in the season. Last season, they had a somewhat inexperienced squad that included only two major names in Ajay Thakur and Amit Hooda. They lost a couple of games owing to inexperience in crunch time. “Thalaivas skipper Padmashree Ajay Thakur and Manjeet Chillar have been retained for the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi, which kicks off on July 19th, 2019.”

The Thalaivas have one of the most inexperienced teams in Pro Kabaddi 2021. The team’s administration has opted to entirely flip its policy of entrusting older members with duties in favour of supporting the younger members.
