PKL semi-finals ended on 15 December and the finalists are confirmed now. The champions of the inaugural season Jaipur Pink Panthers will face Puneri Paltan who will be playing their first final of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Jaipur Pink Panthers sealed the berth in the final of the tournament with a thumping win over in the all-important semifinal -1 (49-29). Sahul Kumar and Ajith had been two heroes for the Pink Panthers in math. A terrific defence was shown by Sahul Kumar. He was standing there as a shield and had a fantastic game. Sahul Kumar scored 10 tackle points. V Ajith Kumar completed a Super 10(total of 13 points). He also played brilliantly, his performance was so exciting that even JPP owner Abhishek Bachchan couldn’t contain his excitement in the stands and was seen celebrating.

Super comeback from Puneri Paltan after being behind for the most part of the match. Hats off to Pankaj Mohite who was superb with 16 points and ensured Paltan came back to win the semi-finals. The first half saw Puneri Paltan trail 15-21 against Tamil Thalaivas in Semi-Final 2 of vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9. They made a strong comeback in the second half of the match as Pankaj Mohite shone with an all-round performance of 16 points, while Gaurav Khatri sparkled in defence. Paltan won the crucial match 39-37.

Strengths and weaknesses –

Both the teams showed great form in the semi-final.

Shaul Kumar and V Ajith Kumar were the heroes of JPP. The defence of the Jaipur panthers looked very strong. , 3 highs 5’s were made from the Jaipur team (Shaul Kumar, Riza Marbagheri and Ankush ). The raiders did great work as well.

Puneri Paltan’s defence looked good in SF-2. However, the Raiders didn’t look in form, except for the one-man army of Pankaj Mohite. He scored 16 points in the match and scored his second super 10 of the season, so the Raiding department can be a headache for Puneri Paltan. The form of Fazel Atrachali will be crucial for them in the finals.

It will be an interesting contest as these two sides have been in attacking mode this season. However, Puneri Paltan beat Jaipur Pink Panthers in both league matches, but now, they are lacking the raiders. This is expected to be a massive match as both teams are equally capable and deserving of winning the finals.

Possible winner –

Jaipur Pink Panthers looked in great touch in the semi-final while puneri Paltan seemed struggling earlier. Jaipur Pink Panther has more chances to win because Paltan is missing their star raiders Aslam Inamdar and Mohit goat, while Jaipur is playing with their best squad.

What if the final goes for a tie?

If the final go for a tie then, Tie a breaker will be played.

Here are the rules for tie-breaker:-

5 raids per team.
Both teams field 7 players.
The team that raids first in the match raids first in the tie-breaker.
The Baulk line becomes the baulk+bonus line.
No out or revival. Only points scored will count.
5 different raiders to raid as per pre-decided order.

So the final match will be played on 17 December at 8:00 PM and will be live on Star Sports and Disney plus Hotstar.
