The PKL season 9 auction ended on 6 August 2022.PKL is going to start in October 2022. The team management and players will do their best to lift the trophy this year. All the teams tried hard to pick the best squad in the auction and most of the franchises succeeded in it. It will be a difficult task for the team management to pick a seven-member team for the first few matches. We will try to predict the team for the initial games of the season.

Today we will talk about the possible starting 7 for Puneri Paltan –

  1. Fazel Atrachali–

Captain of the Iran international team and former captain of U Mumba is the leading contender to be the skipper of puneri paltan in season 9. Atrachali is one of the most successful foreign players in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League and is currently the only foreign player to rank among the top 10 tackle points scorer in league history. He is the highest-paid foreign player in the Pro Kabaddi League and paltan bought him for 1.38 crore rupees. He has 367 tackle points in Pro Kabaddi League. He scored 51 tackle points in 22 matches of season 8. While in season 7, he scored 84 points including 4 high 5s and 5 super tackles.

  1. Sombir –

Paltan retained sombir for 38.00 lakh rupees. Sombir was one of the best defenders for puneri paltan in last year. He scored 61 tackle points in the 19 matches of season 8, which included 6 high 5s  and 6 super tackles.

  1. Abhinesh Nadarajan –

Puneri paltan retained abhinesh Nadarajan for 14.40 lakh rupees. He made his debut in season 8 where scored 48 tackle points in 22 matches including 3 high 5s and 6 super tackles. He is expected to play better in season 9.

  1. Sanket Sawant –

It is sorry to say, that Sanket has underperformed in season 8. He scored only 26 tackle points in 23 matches. He had a tackle success rate of only 26 %, with an average success full tackle of 1.13/match.

  1. Aslam Inamdar –

Puneri paltan retained him for season 9. He was fantastic in season 8, which was his debut season as well he scored 169 raid points including 5 super 10s and 7 super raids. He scored 7.35 raid points/match, and also scored 20 tackle points.

  1. Mohit Goyat –

Another retained player of puneri paltan, Mohit goyat, was also fantastic in his debut season (season 8 ). He scored 159 raid points in 21 matches including 8 super 10s at 7.57 raid points/match. He also showed his defensive skills, where he scored 28 tackle points including a high 5 as well.

7. Mohammed Nabibaksh

He is an Iranian all-rounder who played for Bengal warriors in the last two seasons. He is more of a raider all-rounder. In season 8, he scored  108 points (including 89 raid points and 19 tackle points) while in season 7 he scored 122 points ( 92 raid points and 30 tackle points). Puneri paltan bought him for an amount of 87 lakh rupees. This has been the highest bid for an all-rounder this year. This can be understood because the second person on his list got half the amount as Mohammed.
