Early Life:
Prashanth Kumar Rai is a professional Indian Kabaddi player who was born on April 4, 1984, in Mangalore, Karnataka. He was born and raised in a poor family, and as the eldest of all brothers, he was eager to finish his studies and get a job to help his family’s financial problems. However, a roadblock appeared in Prashant’s path when he was in the tenth grade. His physical body begged him to try weightlifting, which he did until he saw his college seniors playing the intriguing game of Kabaddi.
However, Prashanth Kumar Rai was going through a difficult time in his life at the time. Prashant had both his mother and father were taken away from him in a short period of time. Just as he was discovering his passion in Kabaddi, he was burdened with the financial responsibilities that came with being the eldest of his siblings. Prashant handled everything with a smile, working for Vijaya Bank and captaining their Kabaddi team. Prashant is a happily married man with two lovely children.

Prashanth Kumar Rai is a professional Kabaddi player who competes in the Pro Kabaddi League. The raider has been a part of the Pro Kabaddi League since its inception. He spent his first three seasons with the Telugu Titans, where he was a backup for Rahul Chaudhary and Sukesh Hegde and was relatively successful. In season 2, he scored 54 points in 15 games for the Telugu Titans.
In PKL season 4, he was a member of Dabang Delhi, where he was unable to replicate much success due to the team’s ineffectiveness. In his fifth season, he was a member of the Haryana Steelers and played an important role in getting them to the playoffs. He did, however, play for the Haryana Steelers, where he scored 80 points in 16 games, ranking second on the team. Kumar had three super 10s and three super raids in the same season.
Haryana Steelers signed him for the seventh season. He is extremely aggressive on the field and has improved his performance with each passing season. UP Yoddha paid Rs. 79 lakhs for Prasanth in Season 6, the highest price ever quoted for him in his PKL career and the highest for a category B player in Season 6 auctions. Many teams were impressed by his performances at the Federation Cup and during the national camp, which contributed to his price increase. His best performance was with UP Yoddha in PKL Season 6, when he scored 147 points in 21 matches; it was during this season that he reached the 100 raid points in a season milestone.
