Early Life:

Ruturaj Shivaji Koravi was born in the Maharashtra district of Kolhapur on April 1, 1994. His father was a well-known sportsperson, and his mother was a National kabaddi player, so the sport was in his blood. Apart from kabaddi, he was always interested in wrestling and handball. Given his family background, Ruturaj’s parents were extremely supportive of his choices and frequently drove him to local tournaments held in nearby villages so that he could gain valuable kabaddi experience.

Ruturaj Koravi Kabaddi Career:

Ruturaj began his career when he was chosen to play for the Mahindra & Mahindra team in Mumbai, where he excelled. Nothing could stop his progress in kabaddi after that. Ruturaj then represented Kolhapur in district-level competitions before moving on to represent Maharashtra at the state level. Ruturaj is a daring kabaddi player with exceptional defensive skills. Ruturaj Koravi – Pro Kabaddi Career:

He debuted in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League in season 6, where he was purchased by the Gujarat Fortunegiants for Rs. 30.4 lakhs! This was due to his renowned performance in the Senior Nationals for Maharashtra, where he led the team to the finals. He had a stellar debut season, scoring 47 tackle points in 23 games and having a tackle strike rate of 39%. His potential was recognized by Gujarat’s coach, Manpreet Singh, and he was purchased by the Giants in the seventh season as well, owing to Manpreet Singh’s trust.

In Season 7, he was mostly used by Gujarat, who failed to qualify for the semifinals for the first time since their team was introduced in Season 5. In contrast to Season 6, he only scored 17 points and had no effect on Gujarat’s opponents’ gameplay.
